3 Days Lake Bunyonyi Safari, Lake Bunyonyi is Africa’s fresh crate water Lake, the Lake is located in the southwest part of Uganda, which is between Kabale and Kisoro.

Bunyonyi is a local word which means a place of many bird species.Lake Bunyonyi is located in the south west part of Uganda, at approximately 1,962 km above sea level. The park is about 25 km long and 7 km wide. The depth of the Lake is between 950 m and 4 km, it’s the second deepest crate Lake in Africa.

The Lake is bilharzias free and very safe for swimming, it’s as well appears on the 5,000 note shillings showing the terraces and beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

Detailed Itinerary

Day -1 early morning after breakfast our guide will pick you up from the Hotel or area of residence depending on your choice.

At 7am we set off to Lake Bunyonyi, this early morning enables us to reach on time; during the journey we will have a stopover at the Equator at the stride of the north and south hemisphere, take some pictures for memories, you can as well buy some souvenirs, there after proceed to Mbarara town for lunch at Agip, before you head out to Kabale the land of a thousand hills.

You will check in at the lodge enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day -2

Optional Activities-Canoe/Boat,bird watching, sightseeing,community walks.

Early morning after breakfast enjoy bird watching, at the Lake where a number of birds are spotted and the area is named after a number of birds that inhabit the area.

Return to the lodge for lunch, enjoy evening boat ride at the lake visit a number of islands at the lake, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of rolling hills, terraces ,spot various bird species at the Lake including the white tailed blue monad, African harrier ,grey crowned cranes, egrets, hawk, herons ,Rufus breathed wryneck ,levillant cuckoo, weavers nesting on the island include slender-billed ,large golden, yellow-backed and many more

During your visit to the island you can option for cycling at the park area.

Thereafter you will return to the lodge for dinner and enjoy your overnight.

DAY3-TRAVEL BACK TO KAMPALA

Early morning after Breakfast, meet your guide and enjoy the stunning landscape, enjoy a nature walk around the Lake, see a number of tree species, amazing views and many more. There after checkout and drive to Kampala enjoy a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, there after proceed with the journey to Kampala, arrive before 6pm.
