2 days Budongo Forest reserve, Budongo Forest is located in Murchison falls National Park, covered on 795 square Kilometers and 60% of the area is grassland.

Budongo Forest reserve has a number of wildlife species these include 330 species of trees,9 primate species,350 bird species,290 butterfly species,140 moth species.

In Budongo forest there 6 groups of chimpanzees that are habituated for Gorilla trekking which is carried in the forest throughout the year, visitors have higher chances of trekking the primates.

Budongo Forest, the trek starts at 7:00 am with the guides, and rangers who take you through the forest reserve to see the habituated chimpanzees, they share 98% DNA with human being. It takes 30 minutes to 6 hours to locate the chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in the Forest

Chimpanzee trekking in the forest, enjoy your breakfast early morning at the lodge, continue proceeding for the Chimpanzee trekking ,the experiences which takes 3 hours to 6 hours as you trail through the primates ,as they continue with their day today activities. Spend one hour with the mountain Gorillas, wildlife species include monkeys, birds and many more.

Budongo Forest Reserve is under the management of Uganda Wildlife, return to the lodge for lunch, have lunch and depart back to Kampala.

The guide will drop you to your hotel or area of residence before 6pm, depending on your preference.
