Lake Mburo national park is located in Kiluhura district, the park is one of the closest national parks in Uganda found in the west part of Uganda in Mbarara town, from Kampala the capital city of Uganda, it takes approximately 240 kilometers by use of Road transport in Uganda.

The park is one of the smallest National parks in Uganda; however it’s recorded to have the biggest number of wildlife species.

Lake Mburo National park is measured with over 380 square km, it’s regarded as the smallest National park in Uganda, the park is characterized with a variety of landscape which is open savanna of acacia woodland, forest and open waters. The wildlife includes Buffaloes, Leopards, Impala, Warthogs, elephants, Zebras, waterbucks, Impala and many more. The park offers a number of activities such as bird watching, nature walks, game drives and many more.

Day 1 wake up early morning for breakfast, our guide/driver transfer you to Lake Mburo, set off at 7:30am this early morning drive enables us to reach on time and as well to catch up with the tour activities.

Drive towards to western part of Uganda, via the big town masaka- Lyantonde , On your route to Lake Mburo you will have a stopover at the drum makers village for a short briefing about how the local drums are made continue to Lake Mburo.

Arrive at the park check in at lodge and continue to see a variety of mammal species such as elands,kobs,impalas,Buffaloes,hartebeest,waterbucks,Topis,Sitatunga,Zebras and many more.

After lunch continue on a boat ride with chances of spotting other mammals including Fish eagles, Crocodiles, Topis.

Get back to the lodge for dinner and refreshment

Day 2

Wake up early morning for breakfast ,get ready for the morning game drive through Lake Mburo National park where you have a chance to see the Topis, Impala, Zebras, Warthogs ,waterbucks and many more to see.

The adventure takes maximum 3 hours, and head back to the lodge for your full morning game drive to spot the wildlife including Zebras ,Elands, Buffaloes ,Impala, Topis, Hippos as they move back to water and other mammals back to their hiding places. The adventure takes about 3 hours see a number of butterflies, bird species, lakes, and amazing sceneries.

Return to the lodge, check out of the lodge we drive back to Kampala as we enjoy the game trails, have a stopover for lunch in Masaka town and another stopover at the equator where the North and south Poles pass in the world.

There after we drive back to Kampala to your hotel or area of preference before 5pm.
